January 15, 2012
New RATT music 2012! Warren De Martini and singer Stephen Pearcy continue writing the bands 2cd record for RoadRunner Records.
Between Pearcy, De Martini and the band, there should be plenty of new songs to record.
Stephen took a left turn away from his 4th solo record “Sucker Punch” to get RATT on track and ready to roll for 2012.
Pearcy say’s; “Sucker Punch was never meant to be a rushed record, I was hopeful it would of be out by now. No rush, I have plenty of songs to tighten up and still tracks to record”. “I’m in RATT mode and things tend to take more time there”.
Dave Grohl‘s (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) forthcoming mystery project revealed. Apparently Grohl has been doing an audio documentary of sorts regarding the studio equipment once housed at the legendary Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, CA.
Grohl has been recruiting various artists who recorded influential albums with the gear and is having them once again track new songs with it. Taylor‘s collaboration with Grohl in particular will also feature Cheap Trick‘s Rick Nielsen. Butch Vig was also involved with the session, though it was not specified if he was producing or playing.
More on the project can be found in a new interview with Taylor below, while other guests who have contributed to the project include Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini of Ratt.
Dave Grohl speaks on his the ongoing new project in the new Rolling Stone Jan. 19, 2012 issue.
